Forgoing headers.......

sorry I haven't been around of late. been working on Odyssey speed parts Done with the CAI, working on the exhaust next as well as a twin turbo kit! doing some carbon engine dress up as well soon......

anyway....I was going to go with DC 4-1 headers for the civic. I read a writeup in SCC about a 5th gen civic with a B16 swap. they ran the JG headers on it....and only gained 1, yes ONE, UNO, HP!!!!! LOL! 500.00+ dollars for 1 HP!!!!! now that's great!

then the guy goes on to say how Honda seems to have done a nice job on the SiR/B16 4-2-1 headers

I painted mine with a high temp aluminum...I'll just leave it at that, only cost me 4 bucks for MY new headers

hey 13sec, i got b16a exhaust manifold an downpipe on my b18a so your saying that i really dont need a header there rusty as hell

for looks, get one...for power gains, don't. I don't think it's worth the 300+ dollars for a set of heades for power gains! that's 300.00 per hp or in the JG case 500.00+ per hp!

i think a header is worth it after doing other mods, namely cams first
Teh b16 header has a good lower half, bu the top half is kinda resritive when you wnat to push more out.
Don;t forget the weight factor Aftermarket headers are light

I got my DC 4-2-1 for $80 CDN so i ain;t complaining
